Open Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year will begin on January 4, 2023. All applications must be received by February 24, 2023 to be placed in the lottery, all applications received after that date will be placed on the wait list in the order they are received.

The lottery will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 (Time TBD. More information to be released as soon as details have been finalized). Applicants and their families will receive a notification of their status via the preferred method of communication indicated on their application (email and/or text). Once the lottery is complete, families will also be able to view their offer status in SchoolMint.

Enrollment Information & Required Documents

Open Enrollment

High Point Academy is an open enrollment public charter school. Students from accepted ISDs are chosen through a random lottery process. Once a class is filled through the lottery drawing, a waitlist is created from the remaining students, whose names are placed on the waitlist* in the order they are pulled in the lottery. We utilize this waitlist throughout the course of the year. Once the lottery is completed families will be notified via email and/or text as to whether they have been accepted or waitlisted*.

*Per our district policy, we do not release wait list information.  Also, our wait lists do not carry over from year to year. 

Required Documentation

If you are accepted you will be required to attend one of the summer registrations, the following documents will be required for enrollment:

​

  • Proof of residency (utility bill – water, gas, electric, or lease)

  • Birth Certificate

  • Social Security Card (if available)

  • Parent/Guardian Driver’s License

  • Transcript and/or Report Card: Must show promotion to next grade level

  • State tests (STAAR, EOC)

  • Shot records

  • Disciplinary Records
