Blast-Off!

Greetings Parents and Guardians, We are excitingly counting down until BLAST OFF tonight! We canNOT wait to to see you at Meet the Teacher. Here are a few things I wanted to mention. Please stop by the "Meet the Admin" table if you have any questions. Car Tags Parents will be given "2" car tags tonight at Meet the Teacher. That way 2 guardians can each have a car tag; These are to be hung in the rearview mirror so that at dismissal we just type a number. Students with siblings will ALL have the same number and the car tag will be given to the oldest sibling. Please don't worry if you don't make Meet the Teacher. We will try to get it to you Monday morning or you will get it Monday afternoon. The Captain's Log this weekend will hopefully include some maps of our drop-off and dismissal. Basically you just need to follow the person in front of you! (Haha) Tardies Our school day is from 8:00am-3:45pm. It is very important that your child is here on time, and picked up on time. We realize that the first week there will be a lot of you adjusting your schedule and figuring out a route that works for you, but after Week 1 we will close our front doors at 8:05am. If you do not see anyone with a yellow vest on in the front you will need to park and come to the door. There is a doorbell to ring where you will then sign in/out your child. Covid In the past when a student or staff member contacted Covid an email was sent out to let you know your child had close contact. The Nurses team sent this out yesterday: Every student/staff member here at school should just assume that they have been in close contact with a positive individual at any time. Nurses will keep campus administrators informed of covid positive cases and ensure that those students or staff are quarantined for 5 days. I will post updates weekly (as needed) of the positive covid cases for our campus in our weekly "Captain's Log". We will have class lists posted both upstairs and downstairs, as well as plenty of people helping people find their way to the correct classroom. Kinder and 1st grade are downstairs in the middle hallway. 2nd-5th grade are upstairs. Don't forget to visit some of our fine arts and specials teachers!
