Morning Dropoff If you are using the parking lot in the morning, please walk your children to the crosswalk. I do not want children walking through the parking lot unattended. Also, please remember no cell phones in the drop off or pick up lines, this is for the safety of the children and us. Also, we appreciate very much those of you who lift up your cards a bit in the afternoons as we look your direction. This really helps a lot!
Tutoring Kayce Roth, our new Intervention Coordinator, is coordinating our tutoring for students. She has a fantastic team who is ready to help students. The program gives students the opportunity for extra help during the school day. Students are selected for tutoring using various sources and are monitored constantly by our tutors and teachers for growth and further needs. PSAT Reminder Hello 10th and 11th grade parents! Today, the study guide for the PSAT went home with your child. Reminder on payment: The cost for each student to test is $16. As a benefit to our families, High Point Academy is offering a discount, which will lower the cost to $8 for each student. Payment can be made by cash and checks only. Checks should be written to High Point Academy. All payments should given to Mrs. Porter at the reception desk of building D, and a receipt will be issued to your student. Please have your payment in no later than October 6th, 2017.
Reminder for Study Groups: Ms. Goodwin, our GT and AP English teacher, will be having two optional study sessions to help aide your child prior to testing. Those sessions will be on October 3rd and 5th immediately following 8th period while dismissal is beginning. Your student will proceed directly to Ms. Goodwin’s room once they have been released from class. The study session will last from 3:45 to 4:45 in room C102. Following the study session, please pick up your child at the front of the main building at 4:45. Please communicate with your child prior to these days if you would like them to attend the sessions as this help the dismissal process.
