Preliminary tallies indicate that as a school family, we raised over $2,400.00 to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. All funds raised from our campaign will go to the Salvation Army, which will in turn help those who find themselves in need. Watch for news very soon to find out which classroom raised the most and won the snowcone party!
Hunger Action Month
This week marks the beginning of our food drive to support Hunger Action Month. Students are encouraged to bring canned food items to school between now and September 29, 2017. The donated food items will go directly to the Tarrant Area Food Bank to support the work they do for those in need.
All items brought in by students should be placed in the large boxes that are located just outside the gym doors in the A Building and just inside the doors to the D Building. This is another great opportunity for High Point Academy to serve others within our community. The goal is for our school to completely fill the very large boxes several times over the course of the food drive.
