HPA FW Elem Campus 003

“Changing lives with high quality educational experiences and a strong foundation of academic excellence.”

August 23, 2020

Good Morning High Point Elementary Family,

I am writing to formally announce that the new location for our HPA FW Elementary has been secured and is in the process of “make ready” for occupancy. We are very excited about the space and what it offers, not only to our elementary campus, but to our Charter District as a whole. The existing building is 30,000 square feet and sits on 6.97 acres. The building itself contains an auditiorium/performance space/multi-use space that is 5500 square feet in size, classroom space, office space and recreational space that on its own is 2600 square feet in size and will be perfect for PE.

As of this week, the interior of the building is being painted, the architects are finalizing plans for some remodeling and the civil engineer is drawing plans for the layout of the modular buildings and green space for the outdoor play area. There are plans for security cameras, fencing and a Principal will be onsite with our students, as well as office staff and a nurse. The location address is 8300 West Freeway, White Settlement 76108, which was the previous location for The Hills Church.

The move to this location will be staged by grade level groupings as space is made ready until all elementary grades are onsite. Kindergarten and First Grade will be the first to occupy the building with Fine Arts offering onsite instruction as well. More details will follow as plans are finalized.

It is important to note that our “official” first day of school is Monday, August 31st and all students grades K-12 will start the year with four weeks of distance learning. Between September 10th and September 14th, parents will receive communication that will allow for choice between onsite instruction or distance learning for their student(s). Students will be allowed back on campus as of Monday, September 28th. Please keep watch for important “start of school” communication from your Campus Principal.

Thank you for your support, confidence and trust in High Point Academy and its commitment to its students. We are diligently working to make this the best year yet and look forward to seeing our students when they return to school! In the meantime, take care, be safe and stay well.

This is going to be a great year!
