Principal's Notes 9/18/22
Homecoming 2022
The senior class is coordinating the homecoming dance this year, which is an event for high schoolers. The dance will be held at the 8300 West Fwy campus on October 1st, from 7-11 pm. We will be selling homecoming tickets in the morning every day until October 1st, from 7:45 am to 8:10 am. They will be $25 dollars and can be paid in cash or check, they include admittance to the dance and access to a dessert buffet. Tickets will also be sold at the door but they will be $35. Outside dates are allowed, but a completed form is required to be given to Mrs. Woodley by Wednesday, September 28.
Howdy Week
Howdy Week is for all students in 6th -12th grades
The week leading up to homecoming from September 26 to September 30, will be Howdy week. Where students can dress up for a specific theme each day:
Movie Monday - Dress as your favorite movie character
Tie Dye Tuesday - Wear fun tie dye clothes
Wednesdays we Wear Pink - Wear pink!
Throwback Thursday - Pick a style from the 50s - 80s
Fairytale Friday - Dress as a character from a fairytale story
Students must be in obvious costume and follow the dress code, otherwise, they are required to be in uniform.

Cross Country
Cross Country had a great meet in College Station at the Texas A&M Invitational. Also at the St.Paul 1 Mile XC Invitational we placed 1st place in Elementary Girls, boys, middle school girls and boys and high school placed 2nd and 3rd. So a great weekend for HPA cross country!
Soccer
High school boys soccer had a fantastic win over Dallas Christian 3-1 on Thursday!This week they have two road games. They will take on Cornerstone McKinney Tuesday 9/20 and at Chisholm Trail Academy Thursday 9/22. Wish our boys luck as they continue to compete!
Middle School boys had a good first game Thursday as well. They will be back in action Monday 9/19 at home vs Victory Baptist at 5:30. Come out and support, students get in to home games free with a student ID!
Volleyball
Another GREAT week of HPA Volleyball. All three teams have winning records, MS is 6-2 JV is 7-3 and Varsity is 8-2. Several of you are coming out and making the experience so much more enjoyable. Please keep coming out and supporting our teams. They are loving it as much as you are. You, the fans, are truly our seventh player!!!!!
