Generally it will be titled Principal’s Notes with the date. This will be an important source of information on all levels. Everything from advertising flyers to vital announcements will be sent. Please read and keep yourself in the know.

School Start/Dismissal Time
Due to the opening of our 8300 West Freeway elementary campus, there is a need for staggered drop off times for parents with students at both campuses. We will be changing the school hours at HPA Middle/High School effective for the 2022-2023 school year. We will be shifting the school day by 15 minutes. The following will be our official start and dismissal times.
Start Time 8:15am
Dismissal Time 4:00pm
Students are now expected to be in class by 8:15 am or they will be marked tardy. Any student arriving to the first class of the day after 8:25 am will be marked absent for that class.
HPA Middle/High School 2022-23 Drop Off/Pick Up Procedure
Dropoff
Each morning there will be three possible methods for middle/high students arriving for school.
Students may be dropped off at the main church parking lot between 7:30 am and 8:15 am. Dropoff vehicles may enter the property from the access road for Jim Wright Freeway. Park in the church parking lot long enough to drop off their students. Students will walk to the front of A building to enter the school. Drop off vehicles will exit the property via the access road.
Students may be dropped off at the main entrance to D building via the carline between 7:45 am and 8:15 am. Dropoff vehicles will enter the property from the Las Vegas Trail entrance, loop around D building, drop off students at the entrance to D building (students may also use the rear door to the gymnasium should they have class in A building). Vehicles will loop back around D building and exit to the right on to Las Vegas Trail.
Students who are licensed drivers and have completed the appropriate paperwork, may park in the student parking lot starting at 7:45 am each morning. Vehicles will enter the property via the access road of Jim Wright Freeway. The appropriate student driver paperwork may be obtained from the school website or from the high school main office in the D building. Students will be assigned a parking spot for the school year. Parking spots are $30 for the year or $20 per semester.
Pick Up
Each afternoon will be accomplished by following the same process as drop off but in reverse.
Student drivers will be dismissed at 3:55 pm and are asked to promptly leave the property. The student parking lot empties directly on to the access road for Jim Wright Freeway.
Students may be picked up from the back side of D building via the carline starting at 4:00pm. Pick up vehicles will enter the property from the Las Vegas Trail entrance, loop around D building, pick up students on the rear side of D building and exit to the right via Las Vegas Trail.
Students may be picked up at the main church parking lot between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Pick Up vehicles may enter the property from the access road for Jim Wright Freeway. Park in the church parking lot long enough to pick up their students. Exit the property via the access road. Students who congregate or fail to follow school guidelines while waiting for parent pick-up will be required to be picked up through the carline.
Thank You for being a part of the High Point Family,
