PTO Spirit Night
Our wonderful PTO will be hosting a Spirit Night tonight at the Chick Fil A at Hawks Creek. We hope you can join in on this fun event. When the PTO has spirit events, the restaurant gives a portion of the income to the PTO and the PTO helps the school with activities and purchases throughout the school year. Be sure to tell them you’re supporting High Point Academy when placing orders. Orders will be accepted for the PTO all day.
The PTO had planned on handing out the PTO winter wear at the Chick Fil A Spirit Day, but due to chilly temperatures this week, they will be delivered to your oldest child’s classroom today so you can have them as soon as possible.
Calendar and Holiday
Next week is Thanksgiving break. We hope you and your family have a wonderful time off. School will resume on November 26th.
Tomorrow students may wear free dress for a ream of paper. The details are on the calendar event in regards to what students may and may not wear. Please check our calendar often at https://hpadifference1.wpengine.com/school-info/calendar for upcoming events.
Morning Tardies
We need your help with morning tardies, please. In order for students to have a good start to the day, it is essential for them to be here on time. We generally have a lot of cars coming into the lot in the morning just minutes before 8:00. If you are arriving at this time we ask that you try to arrive two or three minutes earlier. Cars generally can get through the line in around one minute prior to the last minute rush just before 8:00. Thank you for your assistance with this.
Winter Weather
While we are not expecting any winter weather to affect school this week, parents will be notified of school closings via these emails, a notification on our website and we also place announcements on local television stations 4, 5, 8, and 11.
