School Start Updates
Dear HPA Middle/High Parents and Students,
With the postponement of our meet the teacher night we have made a few updates and schedule changes to start the year. Please understand that the postponement of meet the teacher has not changed the start date of school. Monday, August 15, 2022 is the first day of school, with a start time of 8:15am
Updates:
School Supplies- On Friday August 12, 2022 from 9:00am -1:00pm we will have a general school supply drop off time. The buildings will not be open. Parents or driving age students may enter the property by the Las Vegas Trail entrance, drive around D building, drop off supplies with NHS students/school staff at the main entrance to D, and exit the property by Las Vegas Trail. This is available for grades 6-12 and will make it easier for students on Monday morning.
Student Parking- Paperwork for student parking may be brought to the D office on the first day of school. Monday, student drivers may park in any open space in the student driver section. Parking will be assigned on Monday and students will be expected to park in their assigned spots starting Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
Student Parking is in the front of the A building.
Student parking spaces are 101-140.
Students must complete the Student Driver Registration from (On the website under Parent resources -Forms) This must be completed each year.
Student Drivers
Driving and parking on school grounds are a privilege. This privilege may be revoked if proper guidelines are not followed. In order to qualify for parking at HPAFW, student drivers must complete the Student Driver Application, pay the
requisite fee of $25 per year (paid by September 1), and properly display the
school’s parking decal on their vehicle. The application requires students to submit
A photocopy of their current driver’s license and proof of insurance. Both documents
must be current and on file before parking privileges are extended. Student drivers must:
● Park only in the areas designated as student parking;
● Drive safely at all times, using extreme caution for other students and pedestrians;
● Obey all traffic instructions from teachers and school personnel; and
● Obey all posted traffic signs and markings
Student Schedules- Will be available by 4:00pm on Friday, August 12, 2022 in the following manner.
Returning Students- schedules will be available through their student portal.
New Students- schedule will be sent through parent email
A new schedule will be printed and handed out on Monday August 15, 2022 to every
Student. Should a student need a schedule change they will be required to follow their assigned schedule until they fill out the schedule change request form and the change is approved by administration.

The registration fee is $50/person or $90/family and a monthly payment of $180, with $10 off for any additional child in the household.
