Dear High Point Academy SFW Elementary K – 6th Grade Parent/Guardian,
This post is being sent to inform you that we are currently experiencing a lack of substitute teachers and are unable to cover open jobs in our elementary grade levels at our South FW campus 002 (7241 Crowley Road). As a result, K through 6th grade students who attend our elementary campus on Crowley Road will finish this week in a distance learning format. In other words, all South FW campus elementary students will not be attending school in person tomorrow and Friday (12/3 & 12/4).
At this time, K through 6th grade students will return to “in person” instruction on Monday, December 7th unless you are notified otherwise through official school email communication. As a reminder, we encourage all families to be mindful of potential exposure as much as possible. We ask that you continue to watch for symptoms of COVID-19. Any of the following symptoms indicate a possible COVID-19 infection:
• Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees F
• Loss of taste or smell
• Cough
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• Fatigue
• Headache
• Chills
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Shaking or exaggerated shivering
• Significant muscle pain or ache
• Diarrhea, nausea or vomiting
Over the course of the weekend, please pay close attention to your student(s). If they begin experiencing any of the aforementioned symptoms in a way that is not typical, we encourage you to practice caution, stay home and contact a physician. If at any time your student is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19, you must notify High Point Academy immediately. If your student (or another family member) tests positive for COVID-19 over the next few days, please contact the school nurse and keep your student quarantined at home.
Thank you for entrusting us with the safety and education of your children. We understand you have a choice in schools and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the life of your children and family.
Take care, be safe and stay well,
