What's Cooking at HPA SFW-4/17/22
Good afternoon!
I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend! Thanks to everyone who came out for STEAM Night. Students are allowed to bring back the hole punched steam card as a free dress pass before the end of the school year.
We get asked ALOT "how can I help my child be successful in school?". The most important thing that you can do for your child is to encourage them to read everyday. Reading just 20 minutes a day can increase fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary skills! It's also important to talk with your child about what they are reading. This will help with comprehension and oral language development. Did you know that we have a library in our GT classroom full of donated books? If your child needs some books to read at home they can go to Ms. Goodwin's room to check some out.
Here are some friendly reminders: No School Monday, it is a teacher workday! Tuesday, April 19th is Spring Pictures. Students are allowed to be in FREE DRESS!! Click this link for more information. Annie practice after school this Tuesday and Thursday until 6pm. They will also practice this Saturday, April 23 from 9:00-2:00pm at 8300 West Freeway Campus!
